Genzler Amplification Club

Do you mean screws for the bracket - like the 350 combo and the Tall Boy? I think that’s what you mean, and you have just birthed the next great Genzler idea - Tall Boy 15/combo!

Yes, the screw plate. It probably has cool name, but no idea. Oooo, how about a 4 ohm 15" cab with a plate? 4 ohm isn't essential since there isn't much volume difference between an 8 ohm and 4 ohm cab in reality.

Does the new 15 cab have the combo screws (forget the correct name) on top? I've always been partial to 15's even though newer 12's are kinda the new 15's.
Thanks for the questions. No tjis van does not have the top screws to accept our MG 350 Cradle. This is a cab that is a great match for our MG 800. I got to say that players loved the feel of our 2 x BA15-3 SLT stack we had for demo. And the other stack was the BA15-3 SLT under the BA210-3 Straight cab. That offered the punch and mids of the 10"s on top of the "bloom" of the 15 cab.

Ok, looks like some more money to spend. Thanks! Heh.

First gig with my new Genzler rig. Gone are the days of hauling my 4 x10 / 8 x 10. The sound guy loved it, the DI is truly World Class!!

Any reason not to do the SLT 2x10? Does it get "too" angled?

No the BA210-3 SLT would also be a great choice. We had that SLT sitting on the new BA15-3 SLT for show but not in our stacks for testing ---- just not enough room at NAMM for all combinations.

I've come to start calling this segment of our cabinet line --- the "Building Blocks of Tone" just because they can be mixed and matched for a variety of uses and needs. BA410-3, BA210-3 SLT, BA210-3 STR, and now BA15-3 SLT. All have the same foot print for stacking.
And just to confirm the new BA15-3 SLT is only available as a SLANT. This is because the SLT versions reduce standing waves inside the cabs more so that the straight versions and that is very critical with the 15" in keeping this large driver tight and defined. Which that was the major response from players.

This just makes me want a BA15-3 SLT even more. I like “Building Blocks!”

Why not have the internal cabinet shape slanted while the exterior shape is square?
To get that cool arc shape when stacked. :wideyed:

Also remember Genzler is a small company and making two of every cab will cut into making a profit or the ability to add more different products to the line.
Shops also do not want to or do not have the ability to stock both versions of every cab.

My opinion is Mr. Genzler has something special with the LineArray, coupled with the added design of the Slant put on these cabs he really has something extra special to what others have been and are currently putting out.

Makes one think about future "building blocks" doesn't it? I love the modular approach and for those of us who play in many different environments, and don't have lumpers, and have bad old backs, this is great.

Well, I'm sure Jeff won't spill the beans on what "blocks" he has coming, but we can certainly offer suggestions...

I would love to see a 12 in the same form factor as the 2x10 and the 15 so it could stack nicely. Others?

I've been asked this a few times. That would require a lot more cabinet construction and weight, as already mentioned. As well, we're not just slanting the top of the cabinet. We're actually slanting the bottom of the cabinet which is what changes some of the internal dimensions and perpendicular interior surfaces, offering a "cleaner" interior response. And yes, this does provide the advantage of the way the array stacks and creates an "arc" which also helps to create an even more broad projection of the Bass Array design. And when using a MG-800 amp there really is no issue of the amp sliding off. It has nice heft to stay where it is and our rubber feet are soft and a little "sticky" to keep the head on top.

Well..... Was really responding to why there is no straight 15, and that an internal angle should be simple enough if that was the only reason the straight doesn't exist.

As to the weight, we are just encouraging our muscle atrophy to continue.

There are better things ways to work the muscles than adding weight to cabs. Did I tell you that I CrossFit?
