Genzler Amplification Club

So I got to NAMM yesterday and by 12:30 was a beginning to feel funky. Went back to my hotel and slept the rest of the day. Woke up this morning and didn’t feel up to going back so headed up the coast and home. I did see the new 115-3BA. It looks impressive and the official video above underscores that. Jeff said that the show was going well for him and that folk were talking about the 15.
FWIW, I go with Lowden guitars. For you acoustic lovers they had an O size with 5000 year old bog oak for the back and sides that was/is stunning

So if the plan is to run a 15 under a 2x10, do I want the slant 2x10 or the standard? The 15 is only available in slant form yes?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to dive into the new cabs but will need to sell off my 12s. Unless anyone knows a better way, I'll probably consign through my local store in San Rafael (Bananas-at-Large). How about a trade-in/trade-up program Jeff? :)

A pair of 12x3 Arrays is a pretty big sound in a compact stack. But I could easily be tempted.

lots of options... a single 115, 2 115's, a 210 in the mix, a 115 and the 410... what ever inspires you down to 2.67 ohms. They all seemingly play well together. AFAIK, the 15 is only available in slant, but I don't see any reason to buy anything else anyway. The slant just makes sense. Up to three of them, you don't lose stability but even with one, you hear yourself better. If I was buying any of the cabs right now, I'd go with an SLT.

Anyway, simple is better and I'm thinking that with an active bass tone controls, plus lots of options on the Magellan head, I've got what I need to build a good tone without adding mud. Thoughts?

I have a fairly extensive pedalboard in front of my MG800, including an Empress Compressor and Darkgkass Alpha-Omega Ultra. The Empress is extremely transparent, and the Darkglas does what Darkglass does.

I agree about the slant cabinets...except when I'm selling my straight 12s. In that case, straight rules! ;)

Yes, sorry thisnis confusing but cab dimensions are part of the specs and on the specs tab. Perhaps we should delete the shipping specs but we are often asked for that info too. FYI, the foot print is the same as the 210 and 410.

The dimensions are the same on both shipping and specs page. 26x22x21 and 40 lbs.

Maybe it doesn’t show because I’m on a mobile device?

By extrapolating from the 210 foot print and the box size I am guessing:

23w x 19h x 18d. Is that right?

It is a mobile device issue. I don’t know which dimensions you are looking for, but for example 15-3 (HxWxD) in inches is 17.5x23x19-3/8. Is that the one you were looking for?

Hey Genzler Club......I have a question. Anyone using their Genzler rig for doing any modern type urban gospel? I'm talking about that deep bass, a little scoop in the mids and that snappy, glassy top end. The majority of what I do is rock and country type stuff and I've seen plenty of videos/samples and know the Magellan 800 and 410 array cab would work wonders for that. I do play some church stuff on occasion that requires some 'slappa da bass' so I'm reaching out to the club to get your take......thanks y'all!

Yep, took a couple of gospel gigs in a loud modern gospel worship team. Small sanctuary so I took my single BA-12 slt and my Sadowsky 5 string J. Scooped it for modern.
Spent my time in the lower range, lots of tasteful slapping when required. The MG800 and BA12 handled it with ease. Sound guy loved it.

I had an interesting gig on Saturday at a Ski Lodge. Not our usual type of gig. Small stage. As such, we went all IEM. I used my pedalboard and the MG800 only. Sounded killer!

It was a fun gig. College Week. Do I need to say anything more? Haha, place was packed and we all had a blast.

Just another way to use your Genzler gear. This weekend I’m back to my full rig. I do see a BA15-3 SLT in my future!
