If you don’t like the zing of a tweater but want the highs still present, if you us a drive or dist pop deal and want those overtones without being harsh. You need to consider the BA line as well. It also brings a dispersion pattern that’s easier to hear even when off axis to the speakers- I am obviously biased but they are worth trying.

Oh I would, sadly not available here at the moment and not sure how far away the next stock is. Sadly I can’t wait. My choices are really only NCs and MGTV.
I have a lot of experience playing either the MG350 or MG800 through one or two MG12T-Vs. I will say they can't be beat for portability and sound per pound. And attaching the MG350 to one of the cabs for a combo makes it a breeze to set up. The MG12T-V is strong in the lows and has a bit of upper-mid presence to my ear.
I also have some experience with the NC112. I would describe the tone as warmer and smoother than the MG12T-V, yet still clear. The NC series is a bit closer to the tone I'm after these days so I might migrate to that series from the MG12T-Vs. I've also played BA cabs which are stellar, but I understand that they're not currently available to you.

The MG cabs are Bad A$$. They can handle just about anything you can throw at them. Plus you can dial in as much or as little tweeter as you want.
Well said @Loring. I have the BA15-3 and agree with what you said completely. BA cabs are game changers. Modularity of BA series is a plus. Will add a BA 210-3 when the need for it arises. My 15-3 covers so much ground for me now. @Jamvan can chime in on the awesomeness of the BA 15-3, 210-3 combination.
At what point do I risk going into protect mode? If the clip light is lighting up, how do you know when too much is too much?
Genzler rig ready to rock last night! Love the BA-15...too small a place for the 210 on top but being able to use one or the other or both gives me so much flexibility.
I'm with you! The NC212 is my go-to for a one-cab solution, and I bring the 112 if I need a little extra oomph.
IMHO having the BA210-3 STR+BA15-3 SLT, an NC212, and two MG-112T-V, if you’re wanting a “rock” sound, the MG-112T-V will put you right where you want to be. It’s low mid forward and can get quite aggressive. The NC series is less mid aggressive and rounder in the lows whereas the BA series is clean and articulate throughout the range.
I play country rock and I have relegated my MG 112’s to home practice because they just don’t sit right in a live setting with my band. I am equally satisfied with the NC for my indoor/smaller stage gigs and the BA stack for my outdoor/larger stage gigs.
My overall favorite cab though is the BA series. They’re tonal nirvana, pack a nice punch, and are never harsh. What you put into them is what comes out. For what you’re seeking, I lean more towards the MG series.
Again, just my opinion based on my experiences.
do you have any experience with the BA210-3 SLT against the STR?
I just got the BA210-3 SLT and the BA15-SLT off a talk bass member I am curious if you have tried both versions of the 210. This stack definitely sounds amazing but I’m wondering if I’m missing anything having the STR on top instead of my SLT
I suppose for stand alone used, the SLT might be nice but again just curious if you’ve tried both. Thanks!
I’ve not tried the 210 SLT. My BA discovery process started with a used BA15 SLT (having sworn off 15” cabs years ago) only to be blown away by it. Shortly after that experience, Jeff mentioned here that he really liked the straight 210 paired with the slant 15 because of how the 3” arrays align. I figured he probably knows best (
) so who am I to argue. I quickly purchased the 210 and haven’t felt the need to try anything else since. I know others here have used double slant setups but I’ve not experience with them. I’m sure it sounds amazing as well!

Thx. Bottom is in series and slaving off the middle. Toggled to 2.67. Any issues at all with power fade when running b*lls out and after the rig is warmed up? I wouldn’t expect so, just asking out of curiosity.

I'll find out in a bit, but no, have not noticed anything like that. Am not terribly loud, the monitors and PA are giving me allot so far. Volume is at almost 4 o'clock. Currently running through a sound check.
