I believe two Nu-Classic 112’s would sound phenomenal! The main reason I paired the NC-115 with my NC-112 was because I felt the 115 would serve as a better stand alone solution in case I only wanted to bring one cab.
I have to say that the 115 seems much louder than the 112. Obviously there is more speaker surface area with the 115, but I also believe that the 115 has a higher efficiency rating (I could be wrong). Honestly, the 112 sounds the best to me, but they all sound very similar (and I’m sure the room will make a difference too). I don’t think you could go wrong either way. I should also point out that the 115 isn’t much bigger than the 112. Definitely shorter than the 210 and 212.
Absolutely 2 NC12s could be a thing, I guess I listed the MG’s as an option due to the weight and slightly more watts (realising that this doesn’t always translate to volume).

Sorry yes, good questions. Mostly rock, some heavy some lighter. More pick than fingers. I find the berg a bit cold/sterile/hi fi at times, could just me my settings and bass. It’s great at louder volumes though for sure. But mostly I just want an more modular setup for when I only need a small amp, the berg has been overkill for even rehearsals and I have never had my Magellan past halfway with the berg so far.
I am chasing both a warm sound when I need it, but then some grit and punch others. Not into super highs or tweeter, never slap and do like articulation hence my thought for the 10’s and 12 combo. Not that I have found articulation lacking in the berg.
so far my favourite tone was when I had an Tonehammer 350 through ampeg svt 210av. Micro rig but sounded beautiful. Just too small.
I guess my question is now more simple, who would argue a volume gain and (possibly) an articulation gain from a 210/112 NC combo versus 2x112 NC combo?
what scenario would a 2x112 run out of volume for example? We don’t always have PA support but on those gigs they are small with only 50-100 people tops at the moment.
When I had a tiny ampeg 210 loved the sound but it definitely lacked bottom end. I haven’t had a 410 so don’t know that I know my preference for 10s over 12s at the moment.
I think I am sold on the NC’s now.

My 112 stays upstairs in my music room so I don’t have to pack up my practice rig. The 115 gets taken to rehearsals and small gigs. I probably didn’t need the 112 for this venue, but I wanted to hear the whole rig without putting bass in my monitors. Kind of a test for whether or not 350 watts can hang with a loud rock band. Sound check proved that it’s enough. I hit the stage in 15 minutes so I’ll report back later.
Ya know, Genzler does make a NC212 as well. You could get a 112 & a 212 and still be completely modular.

Yeah nice, looks sick. I’m definitely limited by budget - it will either be a 2x112 or 110/112 NC I reckon.
Yes we must live within our means. That said, ya don't have to do it all at once. A piece at a time is how I did it. Have fun with it.
I don't know if Genz Benz amps are allowed but this is my streamliner 600 that I bought used off our local auction site here in New Zealand, this is one amp I won't part with but it could do with a better cab.

I love my BA cabs! And the MG cabs are also great - it really depends on your tonal goals as it’s three flavors of great.

Thanks, and good point. I guess I am after a good rock tone, I wouldn’t say old school though as I like a modern tone also. I do like warm but not at the cost of articulation. I don’t love metal but I also don’t want just thump as a tone. And I play 60-70% with a pick.
