Yes, I have captured the re/Q and Crash Box 4 with good results!
They have the QC in stock for $1,849 at Sweetwater. Certainly a tempting unit if you wan to go “digital” and/or all in one. It is spendy though - even with a return policy.
I like that it’s all you need like - XLR outs for example. I like that you don’t need a computer or app to “deep” edit. It’s all via that nice touchscreen with what seems to be an easy to understand interface. Some have said that if you don’t see yourself doing a lot of capturing, maybe a Helix product is a good option as it’s a little less expensive, and the sounds are comparable to the QC. Would you agree?

I had the Helix LT and the Quad definitely sounds better. The effects in the QC are better suited with bass than the Helix. Plus, it has way more processing power. The ability to capture amps, cabs, pedals is a big plus. I say the QC is worth the extra money and it’s only going to get better!
I’ve missed so much info about new Genzler gear since being absent from this thread. I must mend my ways and get back into the groove.
As much as I'd love to go to an AIO unit, I don't trust that they'll be supported long enough for my liking at that price point. (Firmware and security updates, accompanying software updates on mobile devices and/or windows/Mac devices) I know I've spent more on analog pedals, but, generally speaking, they'll be fine in a decade.
True. But I also think that modeling may be the future. It’s very difficult to tell the difference any more - especially live. And cost wise, like someone said, current analog boards cost as much, and I would guess the cost for this type of tech will come down eventually. My current rig is almost $2K with half of that being a REDDI.
I’ve really debated it. All my playing is DI/IEM and I never use an amp any more. Even if you did on occasion, you can just run a modeling into it without the amp/cab modeling turned on. I rarely use effects which is what keeps me where I am. If I was a big effects user, I might be more tempted to take the plunge.

My playing (business) is mostly church service situations and the audiences are more focused on things other than the sound of my bass.
I have elected to move away from amp & cabinet and towards EQ-DI & IEM. Makes my life as a church bass player easier. But I still have and will keep my current Genzler amps and cabinets for as needed situations.
On the flip side, I am compensated for my services and have always been inclined to put those funds back into my business equipment. I suspect moving progressively towards the current pulse as it pertains to bass/amp/tone modeling would be an interesting one, if only for my amusement.

I picked up a Boss GT1000 Core a few months ago, expecting to use it primarily as a replacement for my analog pedals. Going down the digital rabbit hole certainly has its attractions but also its pitfalls.
I went with the Boss primarily because it has more processing power than the other options in that price range and there is a community of bass players committed to it. I haven’t decided how I feel about it. Getting the sound where I want it is more complicated than I hoped. And what works at home, putzing with settings doesn’t necessarily work as well in a live setting. Making adjustments on the fly is not simple And it responds differently to my different basses.

I think the promise/allure of an all in one solution outweighs the practicality of said solution - for many. Not all as some people really love this format and it seems to work well for them. I want it to be a solution for me, but so far, I haven't been convinced to give it a try.
I've seen it work for a guitarist that was in my band previously. Aside from the occasional technical hiccup, his guitar sounded fantastic. It's cool tech, but not for me.
Not being a gadget geek, I have to feel good about how I can make a particular piece fit into my main bass playing arena, which usually means I need to try it out first before buying.
Since I haven’t found a buyer for my BA12-3 yet (only selling to recoup costs from the MG212T), I get to pretend I’m the kind of person who has multiple rigs for different gigs this week! BA10-2 and BA12-3 on Thursday for an outdoors jazz dinner, and MG212T on Friday for a cover band club gig.
If you can't sell it, embrace it, right? That's what I'm doing with my LG3000. No one seems to want it, I don't really have a "need" for it, but I guess since I have it I may as well find a way/time to make use of it.
Hi I also have the quad cortex I've not used it much with my bass rig yet, got it for guitar duties. I use a zoom msb 60 which does the job and is very small. I have tried the cortex with my ba 10 and 12 mg 350 and the clarity is great, I need to experiment with it a bit more. Have you posted the captures on the cortex forum would be great to try out?
Has anyone compared the Magellan 800 to the B|Amp mk1?
I've got an RH750 at the moment but not getting the sound I'm after... also it's a bit complicated to use, with each eq being semi-parametric. I know the B|Amp also has this feature so am wondering if the Magellan will be more plug-and-play...

Genzler amps are very plug n play. One reason I like them. Bergantino amps are very nice. They can maybe do "more" but either one is an excellent amp. Just depends on what your goals/needs are I guess.
