Loving my Genzler gear but of course GAS… What is everyone’s favorite single cab for the double bass? I am leaning towards a BA12–3 SLT but I haven’t tried it!
i’ve got a BA10–2, BA210–3 SLT, and BA15–3 but I’d like to try some thing in the middle of the road of these sizes.
I do love the highs on the BA10-2 since they extend higher—2 1/2” mid arrays vs 3” mid arrays in the others.
Interestingly, Ed Friedland said something in his review of the BA cabs that the 10 inch version seemed boomer than the 12 inch… and he preferred the 12 for upright. Hence my thinking and wanting to try it next. (The 10 inch cabs use different woofers—Eminence vs. Faital Pro. Jeff said the Eminence 10” simply sounded better in that smaller box.)

Question to 4OTF and Crash box 4 users: what is your favourite settings of filters on the on the drive channel? I am especially interested in the position of the LPF control.

My experience is that this will vary quite a bit with different basses, strings, amp voicing and speakers.
Yeah, I guess so. Still, I know from my practice that people tend to get used to one starting point and adjust from there if neccessary...
New NC-212 with my Magellan 350. This cab is exactly what I wanted in 212. Awesome products. Owned Genz Benz gear in the past and loved it. This is just next level.

Rig shot from last night with my band Dream Kitchen at The Dome in Oakland: Magellan 350/BA10-2 x2, bottom cab recently purchased from @DrSteve (thank you!). The venue is quite a large space, 30+ ft. ceiling, most commonly used for tango dance concerts with full orchestra. We were their first show with amplification of any sort. We only needed vocal and a touch of piano in the PA, touch of bass in the piano monitor, for presence. Bass, sax and drums did not need PA support. The bass rig had no problem covering it all. 2019 Sdowsky NYC, 1996 Taylor AB-2, On top of the amp: Noble pre, Origin Effects Compact Bass compressor. Many positive comments from the crowd, even from non-musicians. Hopefully I'll have better photos and video to post soon.

I wasn't familiar with the Quad Cortex but looked it up after I saw it on your board - does it allow you to capture the sound of the Genzler effect pedals?
It looks like @Texican has posted about his experience with them. A 400 watt ferrite mag 15 in a reasonable sized cab under 40 lbs would be a good one to try.
