I've been eyeballing the BA123's as well. I typically use my Shuttle 6.2 12T combo for practice, rehearsal, and small gigs. I've been thinking hard about replacing it with the Magellan/BA123 setup. Or just slapping my ShuttleMAX 12.2 or 9.2 onto it. Hmm...

This "feel" is more a combination of new generation power amp module, our preamp circuitry design and higher quality components within the design.

Hi Guys. Sorry we have not been able to provide specifics as of yet but we are in discussions with a few probable Canadian dealers.
The run up to the holiday sales season is not often the optimal time to bring on a line like ours.
I would expect we can offer some options in early 2016.

Yes that is what I was asking about Funny though I havent noticed any issues with the 9.0 or Streamliner 900 like this. I have noticed quite a bit of sustain increase moving to a Brubaker Custom Shop bass. Now I had noticed quite a bit of compression with all the Markbass models both Class AB and Class D. It will be interesting to try the Magellan. I allways thought the 9.0 had a fair amount of girth.

I like the "girth" of the Class D amps more than most SS amps I've ever played. The Shuttle service series and Aggy's TH500 both hit harder and sound "gutsier" to me than any LED SLED amp I've used. I haven't used the Fender 1200 tho.... But have used many larger GKs & Mesa amps.
I still favor all tube - specifically my Super Bassman - but I like the Shuttles and TH500 more than any others. ....

Props to the last two posts. TB is a bit of a funny place sometimes. So many posts slagging Class D for not keeping up with the 85 pound SVT. Oh and it's not a volume, but a feel thing.

From my perspective, this is doing burnouts off of stop signs in residential neighborhoods. On any regular gig, you can only be so loud without ruining the overall mix. Sure, I like SVT's. Sound great. Don't need them to successfully provide excellent bass at standard club gigs. OTOH, I am all for the improvements in this second generation of micros. Great stuff.
