Was in New Orleans for a conference and a colleague asked if I wanted to find some live music. As luck would have it, across town the GPJT was playing the Maple Leaf! Just absolutely floored to see and hear legend close up. He KILLED and the band was absolutely top notch. I didn’t want to be “the guy with the camera phone” but managed to grab this shot between sets.

Looked to be a DLakin P. Sounded strong through the stage and FOH.

The dude is a monster and he plays at the Maple Leaf quite often - always a great show! The Maple Leaf is quite a venue as well!

I thought it was very interesting, too. All I can say is that it worked - their line of sight and communication was perfect.

The Maple Leaf stage is kind of small - I'm not sure if they set up that way for space or because they like it ... or both!
