Hey all, saw/ listened to/ enjoyed this YT documentary this morning and thought I'd share it. The poster says it's from 1981. The band credits aren't listed (bit of a shame) but there are some subtitled when each guy solos. Going from this the bassist's name appears to be Frank Luther, about whom a TB search uncovered nothing.
I especially like his sound when he goes to the bow. Kind of didn't expect to as the pizz sound is pretty growly. Both sound real nice through my KEFs, YMMV. Harold Danko is the pianist and Billy Hart is on drums. The doc starts off jump-cutting between interview and performance, which is pretty annoying, but that only lasts a few minutes, then it gets into extended band clips. I'm cutting and pasting this on my iPad, so forgive me if I messed it up. Enjoy!
