I'm familiar with this technology and many of the folks working it...this is truly game changing/disruptive technology. I also wouldn't argue with anyone who called it a little creepy.
It was the first time I'd had a laser used inside my mouth. I didn't chew on that side for a while and it was intense when my water-pic hit it!

Doesn't mean we can't practice good manners and politeness ourselves.
I personally feel a gentleman removes his hat indoors but that may be a decidedly vintage tone. Does a lady prefer flats on a P and DI or HiFi WiFi modern tone

My hat stays on indoors out of politeness...the glare off my bald head is just as bright as being outside
.I prefer rounds myself, but I like them a little dead. That said, I've got a set of flats here I need to try. My problem is that I might hate them and I don't want to change them out twice.
I find that flats need a month or two to break in. You have to give them a chance.
Which is why they never end up on my bass, because I've always got a gig to play

When I was riding my horse, I wore a hat, or a helmet, depending on how brave I was feeling. Other than that, I'm not a hat person. This was about three weeks after I'd had surgery on my nose for a deviated septum. Was still quite bruised up but I'd also had a big hump shaved off my nose so I was kind of showing off.
I tend to not go out in the sun without a hat. Like the Tilley one below.

Durn forgot about riding helmets. Yup, donned those. There's a different hat for the show ring. Ladies English riding attire is really, really traditional. I think if the judges had their way we'd still be riding side saddle. Side saddles scare me for sure. I've been bucked enough to want a good seat.
