Man...
I hope my son-in-law writes something like that about me.

Just treat 'em the way you wanna be remembered. Pretend every conversation with each person may be your last. Hey, you never know. Of course, that's often easier said than done. Sometimes, maybe, impossible, whether in-laws or blood kin.

Mrs. Dog calls me a pessimist, with my "prepare for the worst, but pray for the best" motto. That way, you might be disappointed, but you won't be surprised. I call it a very optimistic kind of . . . well, . . . pessimism.

:rage: Now "git off'n my lawn!" . . .
... That is, unless you're there to mow it! :D
.

Not quite a crisp morning here at 9 degrees but definitely has an autumn feeling. GOFs all know about autumn feelings. Such as seeing Robert Hunter's passing. Last saw him with The Dinosaurs.

It's Wednesday, we made it to Wednesday again. Well that bass ain't gonna play itself.

Congratulations!

Are tracking chip implants common for parrots? I’ve seen leg bands on birds, do they still use them?
Many breeders use the bands. Those can be useful to determine age. Chips are often put in by owners. Helpful when a lost bird is captured.

Good morning GOF's. I'm sorry to say no grumpy today. Finally the insane heat is gone, and fall is setting in. It was very nice to wake up a bit chilled as we keep our little place cool. Nice to walk through puddles and fall leaves. I was watching an interesting show on Youtube about 'cluster drones.' They are nano sized and all fly directed by 'one mind' so to speak. Scary what kind of technology is out there nowadays...

I'm well grumped up today after four hours in a dental chair today. The work was very well done. It's paying for it instead of buying a nice new bass of my choosing.
I hear that. My husband texted me from work to tell me that his promotion, which would have put him into a different pay range for his pension, was denied today. He's not happy and now he's thinking about retiring sooner rather than later, which means January instead of August. It's going to cost us about $200 a month to do that. But if he's miserable, I'm not going to tell him no. It just means more corners to cut.

People that I know that are teachers are forever getting paid months off at a time for stress leave. Being unionized helps them in this case. A lot of people that try that would get fired. Then they collect unemployment until they reach retirement age.

Forget this life and lemonade pap. There's limoncello in the freezerino to be sampled.

The root canal was done a month ago, four roots. Not as bad as yours, only 1 ½ hours. Maybe you had twisted roots, that always complicates things.

Today was a crown.

This session also included the shaping of the tooth for the crown and removal of gum tissue and bone for access to take the impression for and placement of the crown. They did a "lengthening process" because there was so little left of the tooth. The healing of the gum was the most painful part of the process. The installation of the crown was a breeze in comparison!
