It arrived!!! :hyper:

It was waiting for me when I got back home from dinner. All I've done is open it and try to connect to my WiFi. I failed so I closed it back up again. Looking at it I can see that I'll need some new cables if I want to connect it to other devices.

Hello Ebay, my old friend
I come to buy from you again
The cables that I need to use
Are there upon my screen.

I have to stop making up words - it's making my head ache! :(

For those that like to color outside the lines. Get out your crayons. From Paul McCartney.

If you want to try again, you'll need your wireless router network name and password. It is case sensitive so enter it exactly as it should be. Make sure that the keyboard caps lock is not on.

Under the apple manu, select System Preferences. Then Network. On the left select Wi-Fi. At the top Location: AUTOMATIC. There is a popup for "Network Name", select the name of your router. It will promopt you for a password. There are tick boxes, pick: automatically join this network, ask to join personal hotspots, show Wi-Fi status in menu bar.

That should do it. You don't want a portable to be tied down with a cable.

BTW, best to buy Apple certified interconnect cables over a knockoff. Just like Neutrik speakons, you want the real thing. I use a Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (sold by Apple), then you'll need a standard network ethernet cable to go from the adapter to the router.

Here I am on my new 16" MacBook Pro. I had forgotten how long it takes to set a new machine up! I really like the fingerprint button that allows me to login with a touch! Neat! :)

Here on New Years Eve I would like to wish all of our Grumpy ones the best for the new decade. Those of us ailing with one problem or another I hope every thing pans out with a positive result! :hyper:
