Happy New YEar to all us GOFs! Some heady music to start the year off with (for me, anyway ).

Wondered if that is Terry Bozzio long enough to look it up. Nupe. But he's who I think of as I listen to the drums.

I learned stuff yesterday. I learned how to turn my mac off and on.

I couldn’t get my WiFi active ‘cos Bell had changed out my modem when they switched us to Fibre. They kept the identity and password of the unit they took out. I can see the point as nothing needed to be reconnected. I had put a Demo label on the old one with the password. I could not remember what it was. I learned how to access my Keychain on my old machine and get it to display the password. This is heady stuff!! I stuck a new label on the new modem for future access.

Now I have to venture forth to hunt the Lean Ground Beef beast for Hamburglars for our New Year supper. I hope not to have to chase it down ‘cos the beast moves fast. As chief Hunter/Gatherer I have my reputation to defend.

Continuing the trail of coincidence, "King Kong" was on Zappa's album Uncle Meat in several variations. My favorite was the live take with Underwood blowing the reed out of a sax. I was listening to that just a few days ago and Jean-Luc is echoing some of it, and probably some of the other takes as well. I had not heard this recording before.

I don’t see any stars at night where I live, I do see the moon. Then there is full mooning which is something else.

All the snow melted a while back. It snowed after Christmas, mostly wet and slushy. Ideal snowman conditions, a lot of kids were out tobogganing late into New Year’s Day.

It’s possible that the name and password for the internet are written in the Fibre box’s manual. You can use your phone to search for wifi connections. If the Fibre box is broadcasting, you’ll see it, maybe BellXXX or something like that. You’re bill will confirm that the Fibre includes internet and not just TV and landline.

As I discovered the Bell guy who installed the Fibre modem changed both the name and the password to those of the old modem. Normally you use what is written on the back of the modem but this is no longer correct. I’m in and that’s all that matters ATM.
