We do that song as well and every time I hear "a Jimmy and a White" I think about my first time in a Class 8 COE, an Astro 95, and my first time in Freightliner when they were still co-branded with White. Both great trucks IMO and held their own well against KW and Pete COEs of the day.

Don't work when there's animals that have needs to be seen to. I was taught (in what feels like long ago, and probably because it was) the needs of all animals in your care come before your own needs.

...When I was about 19 yrs old....might have been 18....anyway....
I worked on a Traveling Fair in the South of England called Cole Brothers.....(Yep!...I'm a Carnie...
)....We travelled, pulling up, pulling down, pulling through...carting some enormous pieces of machinery, generators etc with us....
This required some BIG machinery to shift it.....
We had ERF, Volvo and Mack trucks and then we had the White.....
It was in service in WW2 as a tank transporter and we used it to haul our two biggest rides....
Now, I never drove it, but always travelled in it between stops....
I'm, probably misremembering terms but 28 gears and 'crash' gearbox' are popping around in my brain cell....
Oh...it still had sighting decals on the screen to aid sighting guns of some sort...
Top speed?.....Well we never had to stop the truck to take a leak....hop off....
.....trot a few yards....hop back on....
.....Sorry for the interlude, just wondering if any of our truckers can make any guess at the actual model from such limited, possibly incorrect, info....
