We got the dumpster and Marvin windows delivered this morning. I asked the dumpster girl which end is she attaching the diving board to. I told the contractor we should install the dumpster in the back yard (always wanted a built-in pool).
The Amish wanted to start tearing out the back of the house this morning; it's been raining all weekend and plans to keep doing so through the week!

Whenever I undertake a big project, there comes a moment where you realize that there’s no going back. You get a sick feeling in the gut and think what have I done! At least you can take comfort in knowing that the Amish carpenters will see it through.

I hope that they have worker’s insurance. Not all contractors do. If they slip and fall, it could get messy for you.

No worries, there. Even the contractor said he won't start on a Friday (at least, for an exterior job).

Some have a tradition of bringing their own Laguiole tableware when they dine out in finer restaurants. I have a folding one for eating apples.
