Ahhh... but what about "Flight 19"? That was 5 aircraft that "disappeared".

While their exact landing position remains a bit of a mystery, we're all sure they're out of fuel, altitude and airspeed. That essentially means that between the return to earth, remain airborne, or achieve orbit possibilities, they are most certainly on the ground at or below sea level.

So, while on my hiatus from TB, I auditioned for (and won) the bass seat in an original project. Bunch of "old farts" like us with a female singer nearing 40. Tired of the work involved in gigging (even though that's been non-existent lately) and ready to be creative. Even though I was told "we have a bass rig", I brought my GK MB212-ii....and left it in the car! Their bass rig is a Mark Bass 2X10" 500 watt combo with a 15" cab underneath. Needles to say, works for me. Occasional gigs are not out of the question but we're going to concentrate mostly on originals and streaming once in a while. Fun so far and good musicians. The band "dynamic" is a bit different from what I'm used to but it works. EVERYBODY weighs in on new songs whether they wrote them or not. Gigging is not the attraction it once was...

Does House Of Guitars still sell used and new instruments? I used to deal with them years ago. Their web site hasn’t listed instruments in quite some time.

As far as I know they're still the "great, great, house of guitars" of old. Guy I know just found one of his old guitars for sale there and bought it back. (calling @godofthunder59 )

Evaluating a client must be difficult. You certainly don't want someone whose intent is to sell the bird.

Seahag got a new T shirt today. It has a picture of a dragon with a somewhat puzzled look on its face. Above the dragon it says "I don't understand stupid people."
Underneath the dragon it says "Maybe I should take one apart to see how it works."

On another note about driving in snow (buckle up , this could get a bit long) My folks divorced when I was about 4 years old. I went with my dad (living in the D.C. suburbs) and my two year old brother went with mom and her new hubby to Lansing Mich. We kept in touch but weren't real close. We grew up , started driving and even visited each other occasionally. My brother used to joke that we were a bunch of sissys when it came to winter driving. I tried to explain that the situations in D.C and Lansing were a bit different but he didn't want to hear it. He ragged on me for many years about it. Stuff like closing schools to easily , no one can drive in snow around D.C. and the like. Lansing snow was one thing , D.C. ice storms were quite another. Still didn't want to hear it. He lived happily in Lansing , Howell and Port Huron Mich all his life calling occasionally to laugh at me when schools closed for two or three inches of snow. I tried to remind him that around here , it quickly turned to ice. Nope....... D.C. drivers are sissys. So be it.
One thing led to another and his work finally sent him to live near Richmond Va. Very similar driving conditions in the winter to the D.C area. He even commented about how he should come up to D.C that winter and give me winter driving lessons. Winter hit and the first snow of the season hit Richmond. The next day it turned to ice and what do you know , little brother totaled his new BMW. Being rather well to do and well insured , it wasn't long before he replaced it with another new Beemer. It doesn't snow too often in Richmond and he happily drove his new Beemer most of the rest of the winter. Somewhere in mid February , it snowed again in Richmond. The next day it melted and the next night it froze. The morning after that , he wrecked his NEW Beemer. A couple of days later he called and apologized to me for making fun of southern winters.
