Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

I prefer an entire mountain under my feet to a steel ladder Every. Time. Won't catch me tower climbing or riding a velocipede across a rope above Niagara Falls :rollno: :rollno: :rollno:

What I can speak to is the shock of holding the belay as the person on the other end of the rope falls. In truth I trust my old climbing partners way more than I will ever trust most people I meet in daily circumstance.

Am I the only one here who's played Curly in one production and Jud in another? o_O Gittin' old is heck!

"When I take you out, tonight, with me, Honey, here's the way it's goin' to be,
You will set behind a team of snow ... white ... horses, In the slickest gig you ever see!"

Very cool! I acted in around 15 productions over several years, including a few musicals. I think Music Man was my favorite, if for no other reason than I convinced the director to let us march the 76 Trombones finale through the audience, like in the movie. He agreed. It was a big hit! Of course, the aisles in our 700-seat theater weren't street width, but it was a blast anyway. This is a sort of just kidding statement, but my favorite non-musical was Death Of A Salesman. I had the stage to myself a lot of the show. I was in no position to judge, but at least the opening night reviews didn't kill the remaining shows. :roflmao:

Seahag got a new T shirt today. It has a picture of a dragon with a somewhat puzzled look on its face. Above the dragon it says "I don't understand stupid people."

When that Bruce Willis movie about the kid who sees ghosts "I see dead people" came out, a young lady bartender I used to know had a t-shirt that said "I see stupid people".

The only time I've ever taken to the stage ad an adult is with my bass. Uncertain what that says. Uncertain if the word "adult" is appropriate, either
I'm a 68 year old 14 year old.

Sadly, there's more truth to that than you might imagine. Brain injury. American football. A month after I turned 14. Stopped growing. Still 5'10". My younger brothers are both 6'4". Lots of little issues over the years.

Anxiously waiting for my second childhood so I can forget all of that.

Tonight's choice of adult beverage(label's very dark, but it's "Funky Buddha Brewery Maple Bacon Coffee Porter". A limited edition that's the best brew I've ever tasted)

I'd be up for (almost) anything from a Funky Buddha.

In a pre-enlightened age (or was it post-enlightened?) people took Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance seriously. What I take to heart instead in this time eddy is Mansfield Park. And some Jimmy Cliff.
