Looks very nice.
What in particular makes it not your cup of tea? Looks to be a narrow neck at the nut. The neck looks like an oil finish. Both fast for playing.
@Morrighan I think you might have something there. I have other 34" scale Ibanez basses. But the Mikro seems to be getting the most attention lately. It's light, the setup was easy and perfect, and QA impeccable. As a GOF I am leaning more and more to lighter gear. I'm willing to pay more to get better performance lightweight gear.
Hey @beans-on-toast -- although the neck is 38mm it feels a bit heavier and stockier than my economy SR's. Probably due to the dual truss rods. The bass overall feels heavier. I'm still struggling a bit to learn all the variations of tones with the active preamp. It's different from my other Ibanez actives. I can't deny, it's beautiful, but for some reason, the bonding just isn't happening. I'm going to play it a bit more today and see if I can get more tones out of it I'm familiar with.

Not all instruments have to be the same. I find that with time I figure out tonal settings, same with amps. You also adapt to playing differences. Too heavy can be a problem. They aren't all svelte, neither are we.

I picked up a Mikro at a brick & mortar and it sure is fun to play!
The price is a steal. I like when I can see the wood to note any flaws which could act as nodes that affect the tone.

The difference between Appalachia and Alaska is night and day. With all due respect to Appalachia. It has beautiful country but Carey and I are water people. I feel closed in if I don't have half an ocean to look at every day.
Mountains and oceans are different things to different people. I like them both. Right now, I don't see either but that will change.
