Saw a horse throw a cop in traffic today in a park. The horse was out of control, darted out into traffic. The cop was thrown and hit the pavement hard. She got up so no apparent broken bones but was injured. These are huge black horses, intended to intimidate people, that are used when there are riots. Another mounted cop went to their aid.

I've had two bad experiences with horses in two rides. I'll never get on another one.

I like it when people do things where it isn't all about "me."
Now see, different kinds of putts out there. I took a bunch of putts a while ago with a different type of putter, because it looks like my usual putter has to go into timeout for a while. It needs to be reminded that it can be replaced, so it will be spending a little time in the car trunk by itself, not in the bag with the other clubs. After it's had time to think about its transgressions, reconsideration will be given to restoring its status if the alternate putter doesn't perform up to snuff. If, however, the alternate putter works well, then the once-punished may be allowed to join the auxiliary crew in the storage room.

Let me know how this correction method works out. For unknown reasons, my bass missed a note twice today during church, in the same place from the bridge to the chorus. If timeout works, I may implement that myself.

I remember them very well...replacement tubes were relatively cheap, back then. The cabinet next to or underneath the testers had a full stock of them. I had no idea what the tests meant, only if I had enough money to replace the ones that failed.

Always fun to use back in the day when tubes costed very little.
Those type are typically emission testers, they read good or bad but not how much life is in a tube. Better testers such as those made by Hickok (like above) measured transconductance. A better way to check a tube.
