IPV4 or IPV6?
Those are transient numbers with actually few indicators of origin.
I prefer MAC addresses as identifiers.
V4. Once a packet leaves my network I don't care who does what it. I have a whole subnet of outside ipv4 addresses (.1 to .254) so I am lucky to escape the hoopla of v6. Inside, any IP address I want but I stick to class B protocol, since there are zillions.

Well...this is gonna be a ride: after getting nagged by everyone involved in the medical profession in this part of the state, the decision has been made to become a non smoker come Monday morning.

Done it several times before...longest spell 5 years...just never stuck...if I don’t do this now, said docs, et al, tell me I may not have 5 years left, so...

Break out the carrot sticks

Yikes! Big change. Best wishes on getting off the coffin nails. Wicked things they are.

I hope any of you who smoke will try, and are able, to quit successfully. I watched my 71 year old mother die from metastatic lung cancer in '97 and it was pretty horrifying. It still creeps me out to remember what she went through. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Don't make your loved ones watch it happen to you. If you smoke, please quit now.

My father's lifetime of smoking resulted in him being in a position where he could have been saved from a painful death if only the smoking had not reduced his heart and lung capacity to the point where the operation itself was too high a risk. There is also no question that his daily quality of life during the latter part of lifetime was significantly impacted by smoking.

Interestingly enough it was all the coughing smokers I grew up around that convinced me at an early age that smoking was not a lifestyle choice I should make. My hat is off to anyone who can quit. I think there are probably some drugs that are easier to walk away from than cigarettes.
