The one thing I noticed about the bass is that it is a couple pounds heavier than the SR500.

A strap that distributes the weight of the bass over your shoulder helps. I have Neotech straps. Some people find that neoprene straps can be too stretchy. This make seems to work for me. It stretches but not too much. You have to get the right length though.

If I keep this one I'm going to donate an older Ibanez I got a good deal on to Salvation Army. They are needing donations as they're helping multiple nations and our own country right now.

I donate equipment from time to time. Sometimes you can get a tax receipt.

Thanks @Al Kraft . I'll print those out since we're bringing him back to the vet at 10:00 this morning. He slept well and was on muscle relaxants all afternoon yesterday and last night. They also gave him a bag of saline. Woke up a little more perky! German Shepards are great dogs, a few beautiful ones mixed with Husky in town...

I just know that after 40 years of German Shepherds, intestinal distress needs to be managed proactively or it becomes an order of magnitude larger problem very quickly. Giardia tends to be the big problem in our area and always have those meds on hand to start aggressive treatment right away.

As for what may come from eating rotten chicken and what will best help, I would look to the vet for advice. However, if Tylan comes up as a choice, buy some 000 size gel caps and put the powder in those. Then you can put cheese or cream cheese on the capsule and it should be lapped up quickly. Tylan powder is very bitter and I've never been able to get a dog to eat food with even a small amount mixed in. Best of luck and I hope Shadow is on the mend soon!

LOL!! They are dogs. People go to considerable trouble to make sure they are healthy. Autofill waterbowls with filters expensive dog feed....then they lick their butt, go out and eat a turd!

Just to be clear, I raise, train and compete American Brittany Pointers and spend on average $6,000 a year on vet bills. Their health and wellbeing is a priority for me. When we train we run across wild critters, dead critters, dirty cattle tanks. They occasionally have bouts with Guardia and other ailments. I may joke about dogs but they are my favorite creature on earth!

Kinda excited about Father’s day, on Sunday. My best buddie’s kids asked me to make a guitar strap for him for Father’s Day (leatherworking is another hobby of mine). They asked me to incorporate a drawing of a lighthouse that has special meaning to him.

We have been playing music together, normally once a week for about 28 years.

Thanks ... it’s vegetable tanned cow hide. 6 - 7 oz. for the body - (an oz. is about 1/64”). And the liner is 2-3 oz garment leather.
I normally buy double shoulders.

Anybody heard of Walker and Williams straps? Evidently they're an old American company and make super quality leather straps. They're pretty affordable too. Like $35 for a brown leather tooled strap. But they're nothing like Basically Bob makes. I have two straps and really like them.

I bought mine at Amazon.

BTW, we auditioned a 25 year old female guitarist tonight. She only knew three SRV songs and one Jimi Hendrix song! Told her to come back in two years and look up and learn all the 80's hits and we'll try again!

Those Freddie Matara straps are pretty expensive but he's a skilled artist. Maybe I should stop making cell phone and other cases, amp covers, and switch over to guitar straps and belts. I have done a few but they were just plain straps, they were less expensive to purchase. The advantage of making them is that the length can be tailored to fit.

What turned me on to leatherwork was the tooled leather cover that Elvis had Marcus Van Story make for his 1955 D-28 Martin acoustic. Elvis apparently wanted one because Hank Snow had one.

That and the Tandy Leather catalog. Today it’s their web site and videos. Their leather prices are a bit high but my other sources, tanneries open to the public and shoe makers, are drying up as the old tradesmen retire. I still buy tools from a Tandy store. Fun place to poke around in.
