Hey @BadExample and @Al Kraft I just remembered-- one of the pilots also gave me this heavy coin. It's gold and silver. The unit side is all gold and the aircraft is silver on the flip side.

A challenge or Command coin is a true gift of respect and you should treasure that! Those guys knew they wouldn't be defending freedom today if you hadn't done your part when duty called many years ago.

Missed the last few roll calls...on the drive to Canada last Friday my wife and I got word of my 97 year old mother's diagnosis of bone cancer. She hadn't been well recently. This was supposed to be a vacation with the family. Due to the advance stage, this is not a vacation...just a lot of work getting affairs in order. On a positive side, you TBers are a welcome distraction at times.

It doesn't matter the age, it still sucks. Went through the passing of both parents in '05/'06. Best wishes.

You and your family have the thoughts and prayers of many GOF's. Sorry to hear about you in the very sad part of life. My father passed late 2004.

Thoughts and prayers for your mom. Lost mine at 14. Brain aneurism.
I constantly tell people regardless of your existing relationship, love them,
cherish them, honor them. Because after they're gone, you'll realize there are so many questions you didn't get a chance to ask experiences you didn't get a chance to share. And at times, you'll sit alone quietly, and weep.

It's amazing how much an otherwise relatively unnoticed and minor part of the body can create stifling pain and totally alter activities of daily living when injured. Best wishes for speedy and complete recovery!
I sprained my right pinky finger in a horse accident (well it was more like a rope accident with a horse involved) and it hurt for over a year and then gradually got better. Who thought how important that finger is in daily life!

All good and necessary parts are here.

Sorry to hear you got a hurt hoof @Passinwind

ALB: I've got 2, 4 and 5 covered. Forgot about Chromium. It does indeed seem to help me regulate sugar better. Thanks for the reminder. I'll get some.

Broccoli is a wonder food that I steam every day. They call it nature’s broom but it has a lot of good things in it including chromium.

I forgot about Chromium too! Found a bottle in the cabinet. How much do you guys take? Mine are 200mg per tab.

During the classic era many of us especially love he was a contracted Motown artist and she wasn't. They did work together a bit eventually, but for many of us the deep cuts from Muscle Shoals with Chuck Rainey, Jerry Jemmott, or Tommy Cogbill are the thing. Aretha also worked with a ton of other killer bassists too though.
Charlie, you are a very cool looking dude. You fit the double bass bill to a T. Far different than looking at Sgt. Schultz!

@Al Kraft and @BadExample thank you for the high compliments.

@beans-on-toast sorry about your injury. I've noticed when we get older, we don't heal like we used to. Last week, I was suffering from a lot of allergy issues. Also, I had a chest pain, and it scared me. I went to the doctor and they told me to take Claritin twice a day. The doctor pushed on a spot on my ribcage and I jumped. She told me that I had sprained a muscle that attaches to the ribcage and it happened from all the violent sneezing I was doing. When I sneeze, I sneeze HARD! Anyway the pain is gone now thank God. Hope you heal up fine Beans!

ALB, sorry to hear about your allergies. I too have serious problems as well!

One thing that has helped me is to irrigate with Simply Saline before bed and as needed during the day.

I breathe a lot better, especially while sleeping. I also use Breathe Right strips(the newer clear ones) to help increase air flow.

Hope you feel better!

Thank you @Stumbo . You always have a kind word for everyone. I appreciate that. Carey has one of those odd looking ceramic that looks like a gravy dish. We're supposed to put some saline in it and use it to drain our noses. Carey has the same issues with allergies. We will wipe the dust off and give that a try!

A couple of pounds should shine you right up ;)

sorry about your mom.......
This is really for everyone here that still has parents make sure you tell them you love them, because when they are gone, you can't and that will always bother you.......mine are both gone and thankfully I told them........

If I were half as good as @Stumbo is when dealing with people, I'd have to change my TB name!

I could easily say the same about you and @Al Kraft

Is it just me, or when you think of Al, do you visualize a well dressed fella walking across a flight deck with no safety gear but yella foamies and a black leather jacket tossed over his shoulder, narrowly missing all sorts of hazards (because he damn well knows what he's doing). Flight deck NINJA!

Simply Saline is pressurized and seems to work better for me. I snort it on both sides and blow it out over the toilet with some tissue in hand. Every night.

After getting a shine, hopefully it'll help reduce glucose levels!

What is chromium picolinate used for?

Chromium picolinate is often used to treat chromium deficiency and to accelerate weight loss. It is used not only by those looking to quickly shed pounds but also by people who want to improve their energy efficiency (such as athletes) and by people who suffer from diabetes.

Predominantly, chromium picolinate works by increasing insulin production, which has the ability to improve energy efficiency so that the user can reduce blood sugar levels, improve energy and accelerate fat loss.
