Getting a big, tall, mobile rack setup

If we have to use multiple cases, there's no real point in changing from our current setup.

This board wasn't made to fit into a rack I don't think. Even if it was, there isn't really any benefit to putting it on one.

The connection from the snakes to the board are each just one cat5 cable. And we have a couple of really long ones. No need to keep the snakes anywhere near the board. My plan would be to put the rack on the stage with the instruments.

That way, we only have two cables going between the FOH and the stage.

There's only one amplifier. No reason for it to have its own case.

actualy for what Razor is speaking about, I'd also go with a tall single ... many of the pieces are just a few pounds.... permanently mounting them allows us to permanently cable them...


fewer boxes = faster setup = less things to go wrong.

Too bad you weren't closer to my neck of the woods. We just took a huge rack on wheels out of service....I couldn't tell you the space number but the sucker was 54" tall (not including the 4" rubber wheels). It was way too big for what we needed for a 4 piece band. It's one of this shock insulated one, older but still very serviceable. It woulda been a good deal for you. Got any friends in TN that you can con into bringing it back to you

I had an Odyssey rack in my studio for a few years, seemed well built and held up fine, but my rack was mostly stationary,
