Getting pot in the States?

when i was in high school i was fascinated at the idea that there was a completely underground network of people that were organized by their own volition to distribute cannabis. i still think its pretty cool. we can organize ourselves.

I read somewhere that pot is believed to be the biggest agricultural product (by total value) in California ... and that's a big state that grows a lot of oranges, avocados, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. Pot is being grown, harvested, distributed, and consumed in huge amounts, all of it unofficial, unregulated, and untaxed.

Although, correct me if I'm wrong, it's getting a lot more regulated in California, with the introduction of medical marijuana.

Top shelf runs between $300-$600 per ounce depending on where you go.

It's not illegal to smoke it, never was. (As far as I am aware). It's all about the possession.

There are a few different ways to get it, but the best is word of mouth. If you have the eye for it, you could just walk around town, spot someone who you think smokes, then ask. That's the least preferred method, but if you don't know anyone that's one way to do it. It's risky as well, someone could get butt hurt that you're even asking, you could ask the wrong person, etc. But whatever you do, and this may sound counterintuitive, but don't ask the skateboarders or the emo kids. In today's world they are only posers and snitches. And we all know what happens to snitches.

My grandma grows/smokes she is legal , my friend is not and anytime i cam in his car he is always dealing i hate it because there are some sketchy people.
