Double Bass Getting some work done

JERMAINE - Since Jeff's too busy working on my bass to respond ( ), I know he's got a neck and scroll of pearwood he's working on, but I don't think that's from his trees. On his website he has a tailpiece made from a rootball from one of his trees; if you haven't checked out the website, you otter.

So Yewsay - It's been a while since I chictitout. Now I remember the Yew rootball tailpiece (Wow!) and the persimmons. Cool seeing the basses "in the wild". Is that Rainbow Jeffe? That guy's living righteous!

It must really be fun to be a luthier. Imagine the feeling to have a client, who's been waiting for several weeks and sometimes a hell of alot longer to have back one (if not the one most important thing in his/her life.
Talk about fulfilling!
And, Ed please post some shots of your bass after surgery. I am especially interested to see how those new machines look on the bass.

That was at a fundraiser for the 92nd St. Y a coupla years back, we did the cocktail hours and some heavy pop/RnB guy did the dinner/show. It was at the Marriott Marquis on Broadway and 46th, we played out in the "courtyard" and the headliner got the stage, the lights, the grand piano...

Still paid purty good.
