I've heard a short clip Ian made same time ago, but he used small guitar practice amp to record it, so the quality wasn't best. But for sure Doom Bender is a wicked beast!

It doesn't work too well with my active but works great with my passive jazz.

Just thought I'd update this...

There's now no problems with my active bass. My preamp needed a new battery.

Problem solved

I'm thinking of getting another Mk1 from Ian: Bias knobs for the 1st and 3rd transistors and some sort of tone controls so I can tame the high end a bit. Oh, and a 9v DC input so I can put in my board without worrying about it dying on me half way through a gig.

Unfortunately, I can't afford it at the moment. I'll get one at some point though, it sounds great.
