Ghosting McCartney?

I just caught a replay of Sir Paul's concert in St. Petersburg on Classic In Concert. On the last number prior to the encore he and his two guitarist are ALL 3 on 6-string guitars, trading lead licks in a really rocking number. (Sorry didn't know the song). Anyway, while this is going on there is someone doing a rocking walking bass line. Where/Who is this McCartney ghost? Have I missed something all these years?

Usually when he switches to guitar or piano the guy to his left moves from guitar to bass - but not this time? The TV show was careful not to show another bass player anywhere but there was no mistaking the bass line in the music. Inquiring minds want to know...

Bass is sometimes supplies by that other guy in the back row Wix Wickins on keyboards.

That's right, my friend.
Maybe the song you are refering to is Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/The End. (Final song of McCartney's concerts).

From the beginning to the Drums solo, the guy on McCartney's left, Brian Ray, plays the bass. From the Drums Solo till "The End" is Wix who provides the bassline on the keyboards.

Here it is.

Thanks Sgtpepper - that's the tune - the one following the drum solo - though the concert I caught was a daytime show... but that's the one. Didn't recognize it as Sgt. Peppers reprise since that song ends on the album prior to the drum solo.

Anyway, mystery solved! And corinpills - I think I have your 90 pounds - you can have em back if you want!:D
