Ghs roundcore vs dr lo rider

These seem to be the two I'm down to.looking for old school hard rock classic metal sound.no experience with either.thoughts?picker no slap or pop.occassional down tuning also a consideration

"GHS roundcore" as in Round Core Boomers? "dr lo rider" as in Nickel Lo-Riders or SS Lo-Riders?

For "old school hard rock classic metal sound" I would lean toward the Lo-Riders, which are hex core and better suited for down-tuning due to their natural stiffness.
