Unfortunately, if the past few years here are any indication, complaints followed by a lot of pissing and moaning are what we'll get at TB regarding Gibson in 2019.

Since Gibson always releases their models about a half year early, I'd guess they'll announce a reissue of the 2020 somewhere in july.

We're all waiting to see where they go from here. At this point Gibson is trying to get their 2019 line up into stores that still have plenty of unsold 2017 & 2018 models sitting around. Look for the double edged sword of great deals on '17 & '18 Les Paul's that were built during the lowest period of the companies history.
What the next few years will bring ? Who knows....probably the naming rights to an NFL stadium and some expensive, retro themed, middle of the road guitars.

All the small shops here in the northeast have dropped gibson and epiphone, gibson compelled them to purchase guitars & basses in large numbers and pay upfront for the stock, the retailer also had no say in the models they received!

I know its not likely but Id love to see a Non Reverse Thunderbird model( did not find the reissue they did some years back attractive for some reason) or an EB-1 or EB-2 in all their muddy glory

I certainly hope a tribute to the first generation EB-0. Like this:

Maybe it will look like that but long scale and perhaps a slightly larger body. Hey maybe they've been looking at Brooks basses for inspiration!
Short scales are great but it would be nice to see Gibson try to cater to the more modern hard rocking bassist out there instead of the nostalgic boomer or the trendy hipster. Granted the brand lends itself to both the latter groups mentioned but they should try marketing to the types of guys who might be looking at ESP/LTD, Dingwall, Warwick, Spector or Schecter as well.
