Maybe Rawkabilly had it on there. I've owned it for a couple weeks and am excited to play around with it some more. So far, very pleased with the tone from the Rickenbacker pups.

That board is all Mass guys. Maybe whoever had it before
Rawkabilly was from the NE.

Quite possibly could've been Rawkabilly. He said he moves around an awful lot.

I do move around a lot, unfortunately. I'm in SW Florida at the moment. Just moved here a few weeks ago.

Hey Phil.... Did I remember to send you the extra pickups and pickguards for the RD? If not, they're in a box around here somewhere.

It was refinished by Krishna Jain at the Guitar Garage in Somerville, MA. I purchased the bass from a fellow TB'er, Rawkabilly.

The bass is currently at my local luthier getting some new fret markers installed. I can record some stuff when I get it back.

Hey guys, is there any database or formula using Serial Numbers that will tell me some more info about my 'Bird?

Serial # is 91967707

Works like this:
9= first digit of production year
196= day of the year it was made
7= second digit of production year
707= its stamp on that day's production

Yeah I do love this thing. Input jack is a little loose so I might explore replacement options soon.

Other than that, its great. Having a relaxing weekend, so I find myself on this site more than normal right now. Hahaha. Almost got arrested last week for trying to play a post-gig gig in an alley way at 2am. Somehow that didn't fly. Trying to lay low for a little bit and stay out of trouble. Haha.

Currently I've got a '68 Kalamazoo, an '87 Bass V and an '07 $ bass.
I think those add up to a genuine Gibson club candidate.

Here's the Bass V - previous owner added a preamp, hence the microswitch.
