smdc: why the **** are you here then??
When you say "here", do you mean "on this planet"? Because that topic is a little metaphysically heavy for me right at this moment.

My EB-2 has a Dimarzio pickup at the bridge and the stock mini-humbucker at the bridge. It was like that when I got it. Beats me if I would love it as much if it was stock, but it only sounds like itself. It is warm, woody, and thumpy without being indistinct at all.
Playing an EB-2 is like dating an incredibly attractive girl that's impossibly stupid.

In this thread of course!![]()
Oh, ok.... I see. I just assumed you knew how public forums worked.
The title of this thread says "Gibson EB2 reissue". I think what you might have wanted the title to say is "EB-2 Love Thread. Don't you post unless you LOVE that EB-2! DON'T YOU DO IT!"
I'd be interested in an EB-1 if they reissued it.
.Gibson really did have great models in the 50s/60s. That all stopped when they discontinued the EB3 though.
Huh... your opinion is almost the exact opposite of what most people think about Gibson basses.
