Gibson EB4 $599 @ American Musical Supply

Yeah, I thought it sounded decent after I adjusted the bridge and pickups as well. The neck is a bit flat and wide (5 string that is). Frets were really pokey but the fretboard overall wasn't too bad. Reminded me of a typical Gibson LP Studio fretboard.
The first time I plugged in my cable the 1/4 jack fell apart. Little bit disappointing but not the end of the world. Reassembled it and moved on. Pots felt ok but little jiggly. The bridge pot was scratchy...
In my opinion, it wasn't worth the $700 I paid for it. I received an RMA and shipped it back today. Oh well...

I got a 5 string.
Neck relief was not set at all. Finish on the back of the neck is pretty splotchy. Rest of the finish is pretty good.
I'm digging it. It's light and I like how it plays & sounds. I love the transparent black.

Edit: by the way my action was typical factory high, fret ends flush.
Change the strings, adjust the action and truss rod. Done.
The shapeless mush gig bag sucks, mostly because the pocket is too tight and small to put anything in, other than a box of tic tacs.

That looks great. What did you use for a finish coat over the grain filler?
I've been thinking about maybe doing a wipe on poly to give the body on mine a gloss, but dunno.... now you've got me pondering something to make the grain pop like you've done.
I ended up ordering one of the 4 string natural versions. We will see how I like it.
