Gibson Grabber/Ripper/G-3 club

The G3s were only with a black headstock front since their release, where the Grabbers only started offering possibly around 77-78 (could be later sart too, though i recall seeing at least a 77 or 78 grabber with the black headstock front).

Yeah. I've only seen the odd Grabber with an original headstock, of which I definitely prefer!

I believe later 78 to early 79, I have a mid-78 now with a plain headstock. Had an 82 before this with the black headstock. Oddly enough I’ve had two grabber/G3 pairs over time with one of each being natural and the other ebony in the pair.

My 76 Ripper arrived today!
This bass has been played a lot. It’s very light and will come in under 8lbs.
I’ve never seen these helicoil style inserts in a bass.
