I'm looking at a Ripper project bass on the bay and it needs new tuners should I look for the original Gibson ones or would any aftermarket tuners do the job?

Gibson Ripper Tuners?

the originals were short shafted Grover open gear tuners.. those were restamped "Gibson" instead of "Grover".. i'm pretty sure you can still get new Grovers.. but, you can use pretty much any 9/16" sized tuners.. 2+2..
