Gibson SG Bass Pickup Suggestions...

...did a quick search and couldn't find anything on others having the same problem

Anyways I have a 2012 SG bass that has treated me beautifully up until the other week when the bridge pickup started to cut in and out...

Following week totally crapped out..

Took it all apart and couldn't see an issue with a weak solder connection anywhere, or anything wrong with the pickup

So I'm in the market for a new pickup.. Looking for suggestions other than the Dimarzio-One pickup.. Just to see what else is out there cause I can only do so much with the big neck pickup haha

Have you put the pickup on an ohm meter to make sure it is the problem, and not something like a switch finger? I don't know what current SG pickup meter readings are, but if you get a steady reading, it is probably not the pickup. If you get an infinity reading or the reading will not settle down, then it is probably a coil issue.

The Di Marzio 1 would be a drop in for the neck position and require routing for the bridge. I have seen /heard/ played an EB 3 modded this way( dual Model 1s )and loved it.

For a direct bridge replacement , perhaps a Duncan or Klein Firebird?

That is like the Epi EB-O sidewinder mudbucker. The stock SG pick up is much less muddy.
Go Novak or leave it stock.
