Gibson Thunderbird (current) Tuners Question

Anyone know if these Hipshot Tulip tuners are a direct drop-in replacement for the stock Grovers? The TBird in question is a late 90's model:

Also looking for opinions on how these would look on this model. The headstock is shorter than the vintage model, so I'm wondering if the large tulips would look a little too crowded being placed closer together.

I don't think so. When I replaced mine, I had to special order them from hipshot. Call them, and tell them you want the custom set for newer TBirds.

I ordered a set of the Mini-Tulups from Hipshot for my Epiphone T-Bird ..... guitar is currently at my guitar tech ... will get photos when it is done .... had to order by phone
