Gibson vs Fender

Gibson. I dig their basses more, and if I get it for free that means I'll probably already have a P and/or a J in my fictional bass stable.
Which would you choose, an apple or an orange? That question is just about as relevant as Fender vs. Gibson, different things. But for free? A Gibson EB-3 in cherry, please; and just because I'm a fan of Andy Fraser and Jack Bruce, I already have a P Bass as my main bass.
Aww, this ain't gonna be even close..!
+1. I like Gibson guitars, but for bass it isn't even a question: Fender.

I've never heard of an Apple amp, are they new?
If they made one it would probably be made of see-through blue plastic.
