Gig bag for Persuader?

I just picked up an '86 Persuader. It came with a case, but I prefer a quality gig bag. Any recommendations? This is primarily for local gigging; surviving an airline check-in would be nice but but not necessary. I've heard good things about the Mono M80 in general, but the Persuader is a medium scale instrument. I'd be up fro getting a Cronkhite, but they don't seem to cater to Alembics, just Jazz and Precisions.

I currently own a number of very nice gig bags, but if I had to buy one more I'd be hard pressed to decide between getting another Mono M80, or another ProTec Contego.

I think the M80 would work fine with a medium scale Persuader, especially because of where Alembic locates the bridge and tailpiece...the total bass length winds up being not that much shorter than a traditional long scale instrument, and you really only have to make sure that the headstock clears the neckrest when the body is snug against the bottom of the case. With the Contego the neck rest is moveable so you can just relocate it to suit your bass.

Not sure how much that company has changed since Glenn sold it, but they used to make gig bags for any instrument. I have a Cronkhite for my Steinberger L-2, which is about as far away from a Jazz or a Precision as one can get! But I got that while Glenn was still running the company.

My bad. TBH, I had a few windows open when I posted this, and was under the impression that I was posting to the Alembic owners club rather than TalkBass!

I would have really preferred a Cronkhite in spite of the cost. Perhaps I should have emailed them and asked. Their website just didn't look too encouraging regarding anything not on the menu. I've got a Cronkhite for my Stratocaster, and it's an amazing gig bag...I trust it 100%.

I ended up ordering a Serek case. I didn't find much on the web about them, but this thread brought them to my attention: Mustang gig bag option And this thread suggests that the gig bag is "killer" Gig Bag Room | TalkBass.com So I checked out the Serek website, and their medium/long bag seems perfect based on the dimensions. And I measured the Persuader about half a dozen times, seems like it should fit like a glove. It's pretty inexpensive (relatively speaking), so we'll see how it holds up!
