Leander, TX (outside Austin)
Played a private party for a condo building downtown Austin that went well, the drummer lives there.
Our keyboard player wasn't available so we had a guest sax player who lives in the building sitting in.

We played on the 6th floor deck and we had 50 or more folks all around and many more listening from their balconies.

While I do miss the old Austin skyline, downtown is certainly vibrant if a bit overcrowded with frustrating traffic to contend with.

I guess it was a bit cool to swim but just look at that pretty pool.
Evening was a pleasant low 70s with just a breeze.

Gear wise was my main squeeze T[Invalid or Expired Link Removed], [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], dbx goRack to mix bass and mic into an[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] The guys were amused by the light panel and pleased with the sound.
There was food but it was unremarkable and all gone by the time we finished playing so Taco Bell got the nod. No groans because honestly can't recall the last time getting what they call food at the Bell.

Oddly the trip home took longer than the drive in from Leander as the main north south roadway aka MoPac was down from 4 lanes to 1 for construction and yes there was work happening.

they're all an adventure aren't they....well aside from traffic, construction and food i hope you got paid and ya played good...all that matters really..that pool is mesmerizing :)
Trust me these guys and myself don't play for free but this was a bit less than usual. OTOH we have already booked several nicely paid private parties from the gig and may have more.
