gig that need more juice

in 2 weeks im going to LA for a big gig whit a huge PA . im going to replace the actual bass player for 2 years .. the probleme is that the gig need a 5 strings and my only one is a fender jazz bass V passive that i love a lot . On the gig they use Avalon U5 DI that i never work whit . i wonder if this thing ( Invalid Link Removed ) could get me out of trouble if the soundman need more signal from my bass. Yess i know i could problably just put a preamp in it but the fact is i dont want my bass to be active i like it that way .

You can boost the gain structure with the U5. You'll be fine.
