My amp is part of my instrument. I'm playing it as much as I'm playing the bass.
This is so true.

Well, a book originally.
Hi,
I apologize for my part in derailing this thread. It started off as a nice little "Hey! I played with a decent back line!" kind of thread. It gave us all something to talk about and share experiences.
Mr. modulus man has chosen to feud with me over my choice of PA gear and never lets me forget that I am wreaking all kinds of havoc because of it; loss of high fidelity sound everywhere, patrons walking out of clubs all over the country, the increased usage of DJs for wedding receptions, and hunger in the third world.
I admit that I kind of picked on him in this thread. I thought it was all in good fun. I can take some good-natured razzing. I'm not that full of myself. But I'm beginning to think that I've really offended Mr. modulusman with my PA. I don't know what to do about it. I can't afford another one. Everyone who's heard it loves it. Whatever shall I do?
Again, I apologize.
But, to get back on topic (sort of), I also think turning your amps sideways on stage is a silly thing to do. With a good soundman and a band that plays at an appropriate stage volume, everything should be golden. Too many people like to play too loud on stage. Just let the sound system do the work to fill the room.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
other than just to irritate me every single chance you get.
The reason I give you crap about your PA is because you ignored everyones advice and bought 215 cabs. But hey it is your money. Maybe you should go tell the guy at the RANCH he is an idiot for spending all that money on production since a pair of 215s and a powered mixer is "good enough".![]()
