Gig without an amp?

I've been jamming with some friends for a couple of weeks and the drummer will throw a graduation party this weekend. He wants the two bands he plays with to go and do something for his family and other friends. The point is that neither me nor the other bassist has an amp. We use the ones on the rehearsing studio we go to but apparently there is no chance for us to rent them out from the studio.
Could you guys give me some ideas on how to do this gig without sucking that much??

Your help is widely appreciated.
Thanks

Usually in that case you have a direct box like a SansAmp, and you run straight into the PA. Your front-of-house sounds comes out of the PA and you hear yourself through the monitors.

If your friend's graduation party isn't going to have a full PA with monitors, I'd suggest getting an amp.
