Girlfriend is PSY-CHO

From the original poster's description, a bunch of phone calls seems excessive.

I had a gal who would call five six times in a row, leaving a voicemail each time shouting where was I.

It was in the timespan it took me to TAKE A DUMP. I got 6 calls, five voicemail messages, while taking a dump. That's psycho to me. Needless to say, I bailed outta that one soon after. If the O.P.'s gal was calling that incessantly, then that's definitely too extreme.

I guess he should return and give a thicker description of everything.

SHEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZ..... a Psycho girlfriend ...please just dump her and get on with life. You could end up like me and have a PHYCHO wife who becomes an EX-wife who takes your house, money, kids.cat, dog, furniture new tractor, tools and lies and trys to distroy you spouting off to anyone who will stop long enough to listen to her lies about you...that's PHYCHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ......OK i'm better now ...sorry.

I have to be the voice of balance here. This does not sound psycho to me. I had girlfriends in my single days where I had to hide the knives just in case the voices told her to do impromptu surgery on me in my sleep.

I had one who sewed the sheets into a big pouch around me while I was asleep and then went and got a broomstick to beat on me with. Fortunately she wasn't very strong so I wasn't badly hurt, just freaked out going from totally asleep to being hit with a stick. She ran away when I managed to get loose.

One got into a screaming argument with a chair. Based on her side of the yelling match, I suspect the chair was making some good cogent points. I wish I knew what she thought it was saying.

One burned more than half of all my clothes while I was at work.

One very recent-at-the-time ex-girlfriend seduced my then-current-girlfriend. They ended up becoming a very solid couple and are in fact, still together nearly twenty years later. But I have to say, few things make you doubt yourself quite so badly as "What did I do that was so wrong that they gave up on guys entirely?"

I think you should change the title of the thread to "Girlfriend is grumpy in the morning."

Ahhhhh yes...the grand, old Texas tradition of sewing a man up in the bedsheets and beatin' 'im with a broomstick.

That's supposed to be reserved for men who beat and won't quit, and men who cheat and won't quit. But I get the feeling that this girl just got mad at you for something she conjured in her mind? That's a sheet-sewing violation, there. She was psycho. Maybe she had a psycho granny who gave her the idea?

My Great-Aunt on Daddy's side did that to her husband...he was cheating, and spending all the money on his women, and ruining them. Back then, a woman had no recourse. The law would not help her. The law was on the man's side. So, that's what the old-time Texas women did to men who were bad to them.

But there's no need for that now. We can just leave.

Unless we're psycho. :rollno:

You too!??? Dude, we have to go out drinking some time!

On the other hand, while the OP's gal sure seems to be the "psycho type", I dont know if there's enough to go on from just that story alone. I'd be cautious as all heck with her, but I wouldn't run for the hills just yet.
Of course.... this coming from a person who attracts yet historically overlooks psychosis and gets himself into trouble every stinking time..
On second thought, you're young - RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (or get the pyscho sex first, then run :))

LOL, no offense but I don't think you should be trying to be any voice of balance here! I tend to think you overlooked some signs to get to THAT point!

This thread failed to live up to its title, until I read about Bard being sewn into his sheets, which was cool...

If you can't handle being shouted at for something you didn't do, you might as well give up on women all together.

No offence dude but this post gave me a good chuckle. :p

Here's the thing, ya can't start a thread like this hoping to use it for troll fodder... too many people have had f'd up situations, & are quick to try help... besides, there's alot of stupid kid threads lately, & SOMEONE needs to smack 'em across the dome. :smug:

OK, true psycho story time to add to the bunch. Having been with a bipolar individual for a number of years, I've had more psycho moments than I can count, but a few that come to mind:

1) she got a hold of my email address and password and sent an email to the band I was in stating that "they really suck and I quit" that along with nice emails to everyone on my address book stating that they were all ungrateful a-holes, etc.
Imagine the responses that greeted me the next time I went to check my email!

2) Got a last minute call for a gig one time, when I told her I was going to do it, got a surprise kick in the nuts and a bleeding scratch across the face for "disobeying". (yes, I still played the gig and prewarned the bouncer :)) When I got home that night at around 3 AM, she woke up the kids (2 and 6 at the time)sat them in the kitchen, and explained to them how "daddy didn't love them and only loved music".. nice

3) when I finally moved away, about once every couple of weeks, I would get cut up family pictures slid under the door of my apt overnight...

Now THAT is what psycho is all about kids!

LOL. He just hasn't learned how to tune her voice out yet. That takes awhile to perfect. Mastering the skill on the telephone can be a little tricky sometimes. You have to drop in the strategically placed. "Uh Huh", "really?" "then what?" and "so what are you going to do?". If placed wrong they'll be onto you, but if done right, you can drink a beer, play a round Madden, take a bong rip, work a few scales on your bass in, and maybe even get a nap in, while she rambles on on the telephone. A very useful skill to have in your aresenal. ;)

I have an extreme problem with people being late... when i was young my aunt and family died in a car accident... now if anybody is late, the first thing on my mind is "Car accident" now... if you're 20 minute's late? Expect about 15+ calls from me... I just cant help it, I'm pretty sure every time nothing happened but i cant get it out the back of my mind.

Well...Ummm...I couldn't help it. They were HOT!!!

I generally overlooked a LOT of signs to get to that point. I'm not a good looking guy. So when a girl who was way hotter than my usua league came on to me, it takes a lot to make me think 'This is way too good to be true. What's the catch?'

And I was young and ruled by my hormones. And it takes a while to work off the debilitating excess of testosterone down to the point that you can look at her objectively and only then say "What the HELL was I thinking?"

I had way too many crazy girlfriends, and only two sane ones. Out of all the girls that ever got to be serious girlfriends (Defined as : You know all their friends. You've met their family. They have made a place for you at their place so that it's not wierd for you to sleep over/or they feel comfortable sleeping at your place.) I had a lifetime total of fourteen fairly serious girlfriends, none of whom I'd managed to keep more than about four months before my wife, because generally the crazy started to show. I had one sane girlfriend before my wifem but she got a job offer over seas and left the country. That's a wierd way to break up. "You're wonderful but I'm moving to Germany next week. So 'bye."  :eyebrow:

And I married the second sane one quickly before she could get away.

That sounds familiar. Was her name Debbie?

:) Yeah, I'm pretty good at that... until the dreaded "What did I just say?" Then it's damage limitation... trying to give the impression you were paying full attention and only just got distracted when you've really been ignoring her for a full hour... That takes skill.
