OK, true psycho story time to add to the bunch. Having been with a bipolar individual for a number of years, I've had more psycho moments than I can count, but a few that come to mind:
2) Got a last minute call for a gig one time, when I told her I was going to do it, got a surprise kick in the nuts and a bleeding scratch across the face for "disobeying". (yes, I still played the gig and prewarned the bouncer) When I got home that night at around 3 AM, she woke up the kids (2 and 6 at the time)sat them in the kitchen, and explained to them how "daddy didn't love them and only loved music".. nice
Now THAT is what psycho is all about kids!
My wife does this sometimes. Flips out. She can't handle the last minute change of plans thing. Even if we're not doing anything. If I give her like three solid warnings, where she processes it, then it's okay.
I liken life and relationships to cars. When your young and single, you're a Ferrari. You can drive a million miles an hour and turn, and stop on a dime. Then you hook up with a chick and you become a high-performance luxury sedan. You can drive fast, you can kind of turn, but you have to slow down much easier otherwise all your baggage will come sliding to the front of the cabin. Then you throw a dog in, and you're driving one of those box trucks. You can get there, but you're kind of slower. You can stop, but you need to ease into it. You can make a turn (change of plans), but you need to slow down, signal and check to see if it's clear. THEN you have a kid. Now you're an 18 wheeler truck. You can get up to 80 MPH cruising along the highway, but all stops and turns have to be planned well in advance, otherwise you risk jack-knifing your load.
Last minute gigs, equal your wife hiding your cell phone and car keys while your trying to leave, Or the next day she hides all the remotes to the TV's. Then you end up on TB by default. Ah good times.
Maybe it's a language barrier thing. My wife's first language is Japanese.
