Give My Iceman A New Face! :)

I'll be getting my second Iceman soon and I've been thinking of painting it right away. It's the ICB250EX model, black with some skull figure on it - not really cool IMHO but since the white ICB200EX was out of stock and I can't afford another ICB300EX I'll go with the 250.

But how would you like to see an Iceman? Hello Kitty? Flames? Psychedelic paintings? Free your mind, comments, mockups, anything! Two things I won't be doing: sunburst (no tools for that) and black (I already have a black Iceman). I've painted lots of Warhammer etc. figs during my life so microscopic details won't be a problem :)

To begin with, here's a pic:

(you can use ICB200EX pic as well, it has similar pickups).

I like that idea. It's bold and should look great if done properly.

If white would've been your first choice, why not... white?

+1 on the natural - depending on what type of wood you have 'under the hood' it may end up looking pretty sweet.

Well, I have a black Iceman so they would've made a nice couple - but since I'll do a refinish I could put some uniqueness in the instrument just as well. The plain pearl white is gorgeous but I'm not saying it's my dream finish - just the best of the factory alternatives back then :)

I'll make my decision about natural finish once I get the new bass stripped down to wood. As we all know, the sunburst paint was first used to hide bad wood so full paint... There's really no telling at this point.

Pinstripes. And Murray. Whoa.

Stripes could be done by routing shallow tracks and the do a "glass" finish on top of it... Interesting thought. If the wood has a nice grain I could do a trans black with silver glitter in the stripes... WHOA.

Gread ideas, keep 'em coming.

although a wild paint scheme would be AWESOME, I like them as they are:

Well, considering me and my band I'll have one AWESOME, thank you :D

No, seriously, those look gorgeous but I already have one black and I'm not into having two basses of same color plus sunburst is not an option. Which leaves me with... Anything but black or sunburst :D

Besides, are those originals? If yes, my reissues will never be that cool anyway :crying:
