gk 1001 rb ampeg cab clipping question

Just started using new gk 1001rb with a ampeg svt 410 he cab, had volume at 9 o'clock and woofer at noon, didn't seem too loud, musicman bass at least half way.

head clipping light kept flashing on and off is this a concern? It never cut out. I didn't notice this when I was using my old 275 watt hartke 4.5xl last week, but was concerned cab couldn't handle power from the head.

Also noticed light inside ampeg cab lighting up in top 2 speakers quite a bit as well, which I guess is normal?

Again is head too powerful for cab or other way around or should I not be worried. I felt like I needed to be a little louder at times, but was concerned I could blow something.

Also thinking of adding another svt 410. I played a 400rb head years ago through an 810 and seemed plenty loud.

Guitarist told me his old bass player's ampeg head would blink a lot with the ampeg cabs.

As long as it sounds good to you and isn't overloading the cab, it's fine to have it lighting up. But you should definitely think about expanding your rig. If you think you're going to blow it, you probably will. The head is entirely capable of blowing the cab but won't if you keep the volume reasonable. But if you're not getting enough volume and think you're going to blow your 410he, get a second one. Or do the easiest solution...turn d...oh yeah, I forgot...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
