GK 400RB High Current

Yes it will sag a bit under heavy demands. Its about 200 watts at 4 ohms. But there are a lot of other amps in that power category that don't do as well. I used the old 400 RB for over 10 years of steady gigging. With enough good and efficient speakers I never had any problem in small to medium rooms. And never a failure, even when I pushed it past what it was designed for on outdoor gigs.

I replaced it with a 2000RB and I could notice the 2000 had a bit more solidity in the bottom end. But it weighed more than twice as much and cost a lot more. I still miss my old 400 RB. It's still working for its new owner and playing gigs twice a week.

And it's sounds great.
