Bought a pretty much never used unit at a used price. It's easily the loudest modern combo I've ever played through; I can barely turn it up past 8 or 9 o'clock on the master with the input dimed as GK suggests with a passive bass. I watched the video GK made for it and it helped me get familiar with the system. It's a great sounding and versatile combo with a dynamic and articulate voice. I'm floored by the tone, and the effortless punch. Color me very impressed indeed! I needed a loud and pro level combo for jobs and this is just what I hoped for.

GK Fusion 212 just arrived...Wow!

GK certainly delivers the thunder, congrats!.
I need more volume without stressing the amp because I blew up a TC last weekend while pushing it hard as I regularly do. I had to play the last half of the job thru the PA no Amp for monitor. Volume is no problem now. You're right about the thunder.
This would be my first choice for a gig-worthy combo.
FWIW: if you're hitting volume ceilings within the first 1/8 turn of the master, I would strongly consider backing-off the gain / trim on the front end.

There's a video on YouTube where Bob tells you to do that with all passive basses unless the red lights turning on a lot.
Yeah, I think I'm remembering that now that you mention it. Bob's advice is definitely the way to go, almost worth suffering another band to justify getting one of the new GK combos

had the mb212 combo. it was amazing. best combos in my opinion. gk rules.
GK certainly has the best lineup of combo amps of any manufacturer. It is good to see that they haven't forgotten the combo player. With many players going to combos on stage it's a good thing that GK has a bunch of them.
After spending time with the Fusion 212, I'm really impressed with how it makes an OK-sounding bass sound good, and a good-sounding bass sound great. What an amp! Bob Gallien knows what he's doing. It has a boatload of tone adjustability, but I keep everything at noon and only engage the hi/cut option. I also turn the tweeter off; the 12-inch neo's Bob makes have plenty of clarity, which makes this combo come off like a ballsy studio monitor. I can't imagine playing through two of these at once, as one unit is so loud! The volume of one unit is enough to cover any gig.

I ordered a brand new factory-fresh Fusion 212 that arrived today; just to compare the self noise I'm hearing in the Overdrive section of my lightly used Fusion 212. When engaged the brand new Fusion Overdrive section was much quieter than my used unit. But, with the eq and gain settings carefully mirrored on each unit, the new amp sounded like a blanket was thrown over it; lacking in clarity and, surprisingly, gain. I had to turn up the new units gain a good bit to match the same gain setting of the used unit, and the used unit had an inherent clarity that the new unit couldn't match. I'm really surprised that the units would be so different sounding. Also, the brand new unit has the same amount of cabinet tube ports, but the ports are placed differently than my used unit. I'm returning the new unit. I can live with the little bit of noise in the Overdrive channel.
My first instinct was that. If I had received the new unit first, I would have returned it and moved on to another brand. I read somewhere that a HPF was baked into a model (don't remember which one) of GK's; removing an HPF wouldn't throw a blanket on the overall sound like this. I'm perplexed. Comparatively, I don't need the tweeter on the used unit, but the tweeter is neccesary on the new unit.
