GK / Genz Benz + Sansamp BDDI

Too much hip thrust
I had to (tragically) sell my Mesa Bass 400 a while back and am considering trying out some new options this time around. I've generally been able to get my kind of aggressive/present sound out of most amps using a Sansamp BDDI in front or in the FX loop- just not sure if it will come close to the glory of an all tuber. I loved the flavorful grit and top end compression that I could get on the 400, with a great low mids basis (going through PH cabs though).

Anyone use a Sansamp with a GK or Genz Benz rig and have cool results to report?

This is my former sound (most is higher range tapping, 2:00-ish is on the lower end of the 5-string range, where I was able to retain a lot of clarity and cut-through that is important to me)-

The tones 1:50 in this were particularly killer to me- http://soundcloud.com/dr_thunda/left-brain-solipsism-02-i-kali-ii-emanations

Thanks for checking out the tunes. We've all been a little Tooly at different points.

Anyone have experience with this type of setup though? My obvious solution is just to get another 400/400+, but they cost quite a bundle. ;p
