GK mb200 ultra light head?

I was actually enjoying the Micro VR / SVT210 setup... until the MB200 arrived. Hard to explain because I typically love the Ampeg sound. But dead flat the MB200 just sounds so much better - like a clean Ampeg tone (think SVT-6 hybrid). Now all I feel like the Micro VR can do is that almost overdriven SVT sound. To make matters worse I set up my old BA-112 next to it and realized just how amazing that amp is for 50 watts. I also played both the Micro VR and MB200 through the Mesa Scout 12" cab from my Walkabout and immediately you can tell you're dealing with two completely different leagues of amp. The GK just came to life and sounded like it could own the Mesa. The Ampeg sounded processed and like the Mesa was exploiting the Ampeg's flaws. Of course everyone's ears (and room acoustics, etc.) are different, but to my ears I'm ready to take the Micro VR back to GC. Considering I got MF to beat the "email a better price" at RMCAudio, for $195 you just can't beat the MB200.
Now I need to decide on whether to keep the Ampeg cab or use the 20% coupon I received from MF to get the Neo112 or 210MBE or maybe an Epifani UL-110. If anyone has experience with these cabs I'd be interested in hearing comments. This is just going to be my home office practice amp, but I can see it becoming much more.
Thanks for the input Kevin! I have a Fusion 550, and Neo 210 cab that is just too monstrous for my house...looking ant less watt options.
So much for my internal debate about getting a Micro-VR or an MB200...
BTW, anyone following this thread using their MB200 with a VT pedal?
I plugged my MB200 into my Epifani UL-110 last night. When I was using an EA Micro 300 I thought it sounded really good. Everything was there (lows, mids and highs) and everything was ballanced. With the MB200 my initial thought was, WOW.... this thing has balls! It makes that cab sound huge, like you are playing through something much bigger than you are. So far I am very impressed with this little guy. I've never had a GK before, so if this has that GK sound, I can see why bass players love it so much.
I was thinking that cab would be great with the MB200 for practice. I've not heard the cab but was thinking of giving it a go. MF has it in stock and I have a 20% next purchase coupon. Everything I've read about Epifani sounds good, and I like the sound from the artists I've heard using them. I think it's down to either the Epifani 110 or the GK Neo112.
The MB-500/VT Pedal setup I was running was powering two Epifani UL 112s. Really great cabs...killer tone with one or two cabs.
I placed my order this morning. I was hoping to pick one up used (I'm guessing @ $150?), but didn't want to wait and RMC's prices are hard to ignore. I wanted a cheaper backup/practice head and this seemed to fit the bill. I'm a bit concerned about the output of my G&L's, but I guess tapering output on the bass in lieu of a gain/master setup on the head won't kill me. It'll be pushing one 8 ohm Nahas Bag End copy for practice and two when I decide to see if it can handle a moderately loud gig. Despite their efficiency, I'll be keeping my expectations realistic.

I've been really happy with my MB200, bu I do have a 60Hz buzz that comes through the speakers, even with the volume all the way off. The volume of it cannot be turned up or down. It doesn't seem to exist in the headphone out, or DI. You can't hear it once you start playing.
The amount of volume this thing gets is truly amazing. One thing I have noticed is that both it and the MB500 have a lot more bottom end than my 400RBIII. I have to dial our the bass either with the EQ, or on my bass to make it sound like the 400RBIII.

Is it hum or hiss? I have some hiss that comes through when the treble is set at noon or higher. It's not a lot mind you. I can only hear it when I'm not playing and I'm right on top of my cabinet, but it's there. If you turn the treble all the way down does it go away?
Its a hum. I can get more his when I use the VT bass than anything else. Nothing I do effects the volume of the hum, and it gets drowed out as soon as I play, even at quiet volumes.
We have identical setups in amps and pedals.
Both the MB500 and MB200 are fantastic.
I was using the MB200 tonight, and the hum was completely gone. Dead silent. I was using a 3.5mm cable between the amp and a laptop playing some MP3s. The laptop wasn't plugged into the power brick. As soon as I unplug either end of the 3.5mm cable, the hum would come back. Maybe you other guys with the hum can chime in if they experience the same thing.
